A mobile ticket can be purchased with a smart phone application. The application works with the latest Windows, Android and iOS phones. Using the application requires registration and selection of the preferred payment method.
The application works with the following phone operating systems: Windows Phone (version 8.1 or newer), Apple iOS (version 7 or newer), Android (version 2.3.3 or newer).
Purchasing a ticket requires your registration.
Available payment methods are Svea billing, debit and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) or mobile payment.
Tickets purchased with Svea billing do not contain a payment method surcharge. Tickets charged with bank or credit card or mobile payment contain a surcharge of €0.20 per ticket.
With the app you can buy single tickets for adults and children (0-16 years) and day tickets for adults, children and youth (17-24 years). The price of the ticket depends on the number of zones in which you wish to travel. The validity period of mobile ticket begins from the time of purchase. The ticket will be manually registered on the bus by the driver. Please make sure that your phone does not run out of battery while you are traveling.
Language options of the app are English, Finnish and Swedish.
Tickets are valid within the public transport organised by Jyväskylä Region Public Transport in the zones chosen during the purchase. Ticket’s validity begins from the moment of purchase. You must show the ticket to the bus driver each time you board a bus. Ticket inspectors may also inspect the ticket. Please make sure that you are able to show the ticket if requested during the entire journey.
After you have paid for the ticket it will appear in the Tickets tab, where you can find all your valid tickets. The ticket’s remaining validity time is displayed above the QR code. You can view the information on previously purchased tickets in the History tab.
You can use the same phone to purchase multiple tickets, for example when parent and child are traveling together.
